  • i take it you are disgusted at captnawusomes video about harrer potter

  • To tell you the truth ralph, I dont really watch his videos.

  • An astute analysis. Thanks for posting it. I know that as a former believer I've had more than a few moments where I've wanted the religion stuff to be true -- *some* of it, at least. Acknowledging the fact that it isn't true is liberating, but it can, from time to time, be disappointing in a way.

  • Yeah, excellent. That's how harry potter was. That feeling that magic will never be real. Disappointing.

  • LoL I really didn't enjoy the first few harry potter books I don't know what all the hype is about. I recently read infidel though, I really enjoyed it. You're correct about how people prefer fantasy over reality.

  • thanks for watching it!

  • your video won't load now

  • This must have been one Hell of a video. Of them all of yours, this one is experiencing an "unknown error." Hm.

  • Jk Rowling is not a good writer, but she does have a talent for world-building.

  • The scary thing is, is that we all have a degree of cognitive dissonance, including those who we trust to be right about things. It really makes you wonder how people arrive at the conclusions that they do, especially if they have not explicitly stated why. I'm a student and it really bothers me when my teachers say things that I can clearly tell are a result of this dissonance phenomenon.

  • Why didn't you like the ending?

  • hey. great analysis.

  • My apologies. lol

  • Mjhavok, Harry Potter is a "grown up book".

  • It's true: "magical thinking" is a built-in phenomenon of primitive human consciousness. It's finally overcome only by maturity, experience, and reason.

Magical thinking was easier to live with in the Bronze Age, because there was nobody around able to clearly demonstrate that it was in conflict with reality.

  • Are you harry potters atheists brother?
