To add to mmy last comment: I have a Pioneer HD head unit, with RAC to my rear subs, my rear 6"x9" 3 channel's are sony xPlodes, my front 4"x6" are alpine 2 channel running off my head unit. (Woofers described below).
I do not care what people say, my audio system DOES go EXTREMELY loud. And, it IS CRYSTAL CLEAR!
If yall heard it you would believe me, but i know people will be skeptical...lol
( PS: please do not troll me, I only bought the best I could with 700 dollars, combined...lol :P )

I bought the newer version of these without the DUAL logo in the middle of the speakers...
2x12" and I put them in my sub-woofer box, rear ported both together, and fronts are independent sealed.
Mine are rated at 500-600 Watts RMS, but I run an alpine Mono-Block amp 4 Ohm 300 Watt RMS.
When I go around bumping, people are like holy crap! Then when I open my trunk they are expecting to see a couple jackhammers or 15"s in there...lol :D
(My next woofers will be jackhammers BTW, after I get money.
Go back to walmart and get the boxes they sound so much better

You should never run Subs with the vented pole piece blocked. Not because of cooling but because it loads up the cone with back pressure. It can cause coil to pole piece slap even.
