@songil1 Martine (this is Researcher122) I thank you for responding. Is it usual for meditation itself to prouduce depressive symtoms? My routine used to be 20 minutes a day, then I began 30 miniutes in the morning and 30 minutes during night. I became somewhat withdrawn, but the mood was not always relaxed. A zen practioner stressed at least twice a day routines. But since our emotional levels differ, can it be useful following prescriptive meditative practices? With warmth and affection....

Thanks this helped. I'm still learning though, I still need to learn how to concentrate.

Dear researcher 122, if you do not feel so well I would recommend to do just a little sitting meditation. maybe a little more walking meditation and also meeting people, taichi or doing something creative. Do what feel appropriate.

Dear Researcher122, this is an essay as I do not seem to manage to post my comment.

Nice vid., Martin. I watched the documentary on Stephen's creative past. Struck, if I may say so, by your calm, almost serene attitude. Is it possible to cultivate a sense of detachment outside the monastery and as meaningful as inside the monastery?

@Researcher122
Dear Researcher, I would say that it is possible if we think more in terms of developing a sense of stability and openness. If we cultivate meditation formally and informally generally it will help us to developing that sensation of stability and openness which can accompany us whenever and wherever we are. Warmly, Martine PS: Sorry for the delay.
