how i can transfer my data to my new hard drive?!

@wheely132 There's plenty of DIY videos here on YT that'll help. It isn't hard - honest. PS Get a 7200 rpm if possible - an easy increase in performance. Macs usually have 5200 rpm fitted as standard.

@alanstarkie2001 ohh crap.

@wheely132 I think the whole base had to come off (iMac), if I remember correctly.

@alanstarkie2001 ohh dude if you have done it on a imac befor, was it hard?

I know that WD has a 640GB model for laptops. I could be wrong, but I could have sworn that they made a 720GB model that fit laptops but it was 9mm so it was slightly taller than regular models so it didn't fit many laptops or the PS3 but it did fit the MacBook if I remember correctly. I have a Western Digital 500GB 5400rpm drive in my. A Scorpio Blue. Great drive and I got it for only 89 bucks from newegg.
hey macOSG. would a seagate 500gb 7200rpm hard drive work?

If it's a 2.5" 9mm SATA drive.
