Speaker of the House Chris Donovan, along with Representatives Peter Tercyak, Betty Boukus and Tim O'Brien, visited the recently renovated Rose Hill Center, which provides counseling services and housing for women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
The State Bond Commission approved $1.35 million dollars for the Rose Hill Center to help defray the costs of renovating the property, which was formerly a Catholic orphanage. The five acre property now has 18 housing units (permanent supportive housing and transitional living) and counseling offices for victims of domestic violence and their children.
