I saw an advertisement for "award winning" skin care for men. Out of curiosity, I took a look at the products the company sells and tried to figure out why they had won awards.
Of course, I haven't used them personally and I wouldn't because they contain too many irritants and they recommend exfoliation. For women or men skin care should not include exfoliation.
Skin care for men and women should include daily cleansing and every few weeks, a deep cleansing mask is a good choice. But, exfoliation causes redness and irritation. It will eventually do more harm than good.
There are lots of good cleansers on the market. Some of the best ones contain colloidal oatmeal. It's very mild, so it can be used on the most sensitive areas, but it's also very effective.
Here's another reason that I didn't like the "award winning" products. They didn't have any ingredients to address the biggest men skin care issues.
Most guys have excessive redness and some inflammation on their faces. Its may be caused by shaving every day or being out in the sun and wind. Regardless of the cause, it's simple to correct.
Look for Functional Keratin skin care for men. It's been shown to stop inflammation before it starts. It also moisturizes and reduces the signs of aging.
For men skin care most include sun protection. You should always wear a hat and sunglasses large enough to protect the skin under and at the corners of the eyes. Sunglasses give some of the best UV protection that you can get. UV radiation triggers the production of free radicals that eventually leads to wrinkles and cancer.
Daily skin care for men should include the use of a cream that contains antioxidants. Antioxidants counter the effects of free radicals. The best ones can even undo some of the damage that has already been done.
Coenzyme Q10 and vitamin E combined in an emulsion created using nanotechnology can penetrate through many of the skin's layers. It's including in one of the best men skin care lines, but they haven't won any awards, yet.
They are relative newcomers to skin care for men and women. The company has been around for years, but they only sold health supplements. I like the idea of buying skincare products from a health supplement company, rather than a cosmetic company.
They created that special COQ10 vitamin E emulsion. They use the best ingredients from all over the world, including Europe, New Zealand and South America. I think it's about time that men skin care lines became healthier.
