I have always argued that the sex pistols are real ones before the arrival of the group sid. after they are transformed into something like a consumer product, losing all their authenticity

Sid could play base very well
I don't know where people get the idea that he could'nt!
But I know where the confusion comes from
He wasn't as good as glen ok granted
But Sid's problem was heroin
He was a drastic addict
He would stone himself up right before a performance and THEN because of THAT he couldn't play the base because he was stoned off his ass.So they would turn his amp down to hide the fact he was stoned and couldn't play but people just seem to hear only the couldn't play part
