What do you get when you cross the 1940s New York postal service, wife swapping, alcoholism, communism and a jaunty fraternity of cigar smoking elite chauvenists?

UNC's Playwriting Studio Presents:

.: B L A C K M A I L :.

- a comedy by Russell Johnson
- directed by Ike Smith

See the Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60gVIC8_D0Y

Danny Forester, wide-eyed mailman, tries to make ends meet in 1940s New York-- whatever it takes. BLACKMAIL has moral commentary, political satire, and cultural sensitivity. But most of all, it has shenanigans.

Featuring the acting talents of Kristin Elliott, Edward Graham, Ryan Millager, Christine Mottram, John Reitz, Jonathan Slaughter, Robert Stephens, Tony Strowd, and Alex Whittington as Danny Forester. GO POSTAL:
Friday February 1 @ 8:15
Saturday February 2 @ 2:15
Sunday February 3 @ 2:15 & 8:15
Monday February 4 @ 4:00 & 8:15
Tuesday February 5 @ 8:15

In the Kenan Theater in the Center for Dramatic Arts.

After all...a man needs a little variety.

  • great job, reitz. i'm stoked.

  • My God, is Russell Johnson the next Mamet, Auburn, Frayn, Ensler? Where did he get his mammoth talent? It's got to be in his blood (relations)?!

  • Unparalleled excellence not only in the history of play previews, but also in film trailers, television pilots, presidential inaugural addresses, and ultrasounds of unborn babies. Give me BLACKMAIL or give me death.

  • I just decided for Sunday night not to watch the Super Bowl but to watch BLACKMAIL instead.

  • There is nothing I am looking forward to more than to see this play.

  • The most wonderful thing that my eyes have ever had the joy to view. I shall gouge them out so that nothing ever may defile them with mediocrity hereafter.

  • My God, it's so beautiful ...
