In light of recent news of a possible crackdown of military blogs (milblogs), I've decided to post a documentary that I produced last year. The idea was to explore the concept of military-related bloggers, including Iraq vets, Persian Gulf vets, and family members of those serving or who have served. What are their motivations and how have media depictions of the war driven the "milblogging" phenomenon. What I concluded, personally, is that there is indeed a value to milblogging, despite political orientations.
I especially like the quote there at the end.
"If the Army restricts bloggers all you will have are pissed off dissident bloggers who are willing to take bullets."
Good documentary!
