Use a kinetic bullet puller pull it apart their about twenty bucks, but that problem is not from storage it happened to me once when I forgot to adjust my bullet seating die I had it screwed way down to much for FMJ bullets, wadcutters will be seated way down like that

yea..putting ammo in a plastic bag wont do that. Alot of companies ship and sell ammo in "loose pack" BVAC, MBI, alot of bulk 5.56 is loosepack. It takes a crapload of pressure to do that to a bullet..I call factory defect and you just missed it. Unless you shoved em in a full ammo can and forced it shut

too much pressure=exploded gun. this round wasnt crimped or wasnt crimped good enough. lol dont buy reloads from people, only use your own reloads. theres always a chance of something like this happenning or a double harged load which i have done several times by accident, but i always catch it because i double check my shells before i load the bullets.

kinetic hammer?

stick it in a vice and hit it with a hammer lol kind of a low-rent way to get +Ps. i'd bet a bad crimp,or it's a new zip gun rd,or the new 9mm half battery from zig-zag
