I spent two years working on this piece when I was thirteen. Then I lost in a competition to an eleven year old playing an incredibly easy hungarian dance that he spent a few weeks learning to play. Why couldn't I have chosen an easy and simple song like him?

began the piece yesterday....page 4 gets to me..all the others i can play at normal tempo

the way you play makes my chest hurt. Keep at it. Be sure not to loose all your rough edges. This song has a horrible habit of coming off like a practiced robot if played by the wrong violinist.
