from where do you get your information... and it doesn't even make sense i dont get if your a atheist or what
-
who said anything about being separate? your putting words in my mouth.
-
i do exist am that universal self.
you dont need to teach me thanks you need to read some more holy scripture i think....the self does exist.
Atman=Brahman.

@topbluffa1 That's correct. And neither do you. Not in the way that most people understand it. The ego is not the self. Nor is the "observer entity", nor is the will or personality. The so called self cannot be located in space time and is nothing more than an organizational idea. A conceptual creation of primitive psychology and a way of thinking about the nature of existence.. To see yourself as separate from the whole is nothing but pure imagination.

yes there is the universal self. so if there is no self your telling me you dont exist?
-
@topbluffa1 Me? Confused? hardly. There is no "self"
Cause & effect is a typical 'Western' mind-set.
It is pure arrogance and ignorance to talk about karma as in causality. "Oh we Westerners live with this narrow mind, so the Far Eastern people mean causality too"
The whole disharmonic 'modern' world is based on causality: If you do not do as i told you...i will kill or fire you..Karma means 'doing', 'action' from the Sanskrit 'kri' (to do). So when you want to trancend karma, see yourself as the doer of 'all this' OR do not see a doer at all...
