@vladpiranha matter of opinion there...personally I enjoyed the art style from 1 & 2 better (especially the pirate closeups etc... like in scumm bar in #1)

@bluey1610 there's a movie, it's called Pirates of the Caribean. This movie was meant to be a Monkey Island movie but for some reason someone didn't liked. Some years later they released it with a diferent name.

@Savci008 It could just be because the voices they gave the characters were never going to match how I'd imagined they'd sound in my head, but I do genuinely think it loses something. I suppose it's a bit like the difference between reading a book and having it read to you.
It also doesn't help that the games that came after Monkey Island 2 are of dubious quality at best.

I don't know why Lucasarts had to change the art design for Escape from Monkey Island. Everything about Curse was so perfect. It's like they hit 21 in blackjack and just kept asking for cards.

Couldnt agree with you more, havent heard music this masterful put in a video game in a long time. This game is a gem, and quite underrated in my opinion.
