Lee "Curso" Corso: The F-Bomb + Apology

Lee "Curso" Corso drops a F-Bomb on College Gameday during a bit where he is pretending he is going to pick SMU then picks Houston instead. When he is throwing down the SMU megaphone, he says "Aw f*ck it!" He realized immediately that he did that and said "Good thing we're on delay." Well, they weren't on delay or at least enough delay because it came out clear. Then Chris Fowler leans over to him and says "wash that mouth out, what the hell are you doing?" Which I guess gets a free pass from the apology department.

I kept it on ESPN for the Mich/Neb game and there was a commercial break with 6:25 left in the 1st quarter. Before the game came back, they went back to Lee Corso at Gameday, where he issued an apology you can see at the end of the clip. It really looks like he is reading a written statement during the apology.

Personally, I don't think it should be as big a deal as it becomes when someone accidentally curses on live tv. We live in 2011 not 1954, and I hope we're not under the illusion that all of our analysts, players, coaches and fans are perfectly model citizens who never curse in real life. Oh and my 1 year old son laughs at the end of the cursing part of the clip, that's what that is.

There will be a day when the F word will be acceptable to say on tv. There are a lot of words they say now that wasn't allowed on TV over 40 years ago. In the 1950s they couldn't even say pregnant on tv.
