The Lost Loves || Dom/Mal - Inception [for Anna]

Pairing/Characters: Dom and Mal Cobb (also some Arthur and Eames as well but -sadly- not slashed)
Theme: Pure and utter angst (read below for more detail as to why)

WHY THIS CLIP IS ANGST.

Basically I was feeling like ass a few days ago and decided that I would take it out on some unsuspecting characters (as you do). Funny thing is, from what I remember of depression, this is pretty much how it went. This video represents the months between Mal's suicide and the inception job. Dom is being haunted by everything he's done and nothing Arthur or Eames (who also knew Mal and were close to her) do helps him. They try talking to him, then they try sending him into deeper dreams as a therapy tool but everything fails. Dom is slowly and surely going mad with grief. By the end of the video, the emotional state the guy is in is what I imagined he was like on the Cobol job (which may explain why everything went wrong) so this literally bridges the months between suicide and home.

This video took so much out of me... I really hope you like it.

But dear sweet God it feels so good to finally have this finished. Now that makes it sound like I worked on the thing for months when I actually cut it in just under 12 hours, BUT ever since the midnight premier of Inception I have wanted to cut a Dom/Mal video to this song. I've also always wanted to do the color grading like it was done in the film Thirteen and I am SO HAPPY with how this turned out. This is for the Arthur to my Eames, who is so absolutely amazing I actually have no words anymore.

OH MY GOD!!! This is made of pure awesome and sadness. i could feel the angst!!!! this literally brought tears to my eyes!!! I felt it caught depression quite well too, actually o__O odd, no? That we use such things as inspiration?

Haha yes... it's difficult to do a het pairing for me unless they are truly canon, and NO ONE can argue they aren't canon XD

I just got around to watching this coz I'm probably one of those three people on this planet who's still not seen Inception - but OHMYGOD, now I HAVE to watch this movie tomorrow!! You have done an amazing job with the angst (great vids are expected from you but this exceeded all expectations!) and I could totally feel the stress and confusion and the helplessness and overall pain throughout this time - it was an emotionally exhausting 4 minutes there. And super song selection, perfect. EPIC.
