@SmallxTaylor you can get Ubuntu 10.10 UNE (Ubuntu Netbook Edition) or wait for 11.04 later this month which will have a single Ubuntu Desktop version for desktop/laptop/netbook computers.

@slugmax you could run Office 07 under Wine on Ubuntu, but Open Office is extremely good and fully compatible.
