The Vikings that settled in north Russia and along the Dneiper were a dominant minority for a couple of generations, They were assimilated by the local population and in a few more generations were completely Slavicized. You still had Swedes passing through to join the Varangian Guard in Byzantium, but by 1200 AD or so, the Norse effect on the area was pretty well over.

@RussianBoxer84 I agree completely !!!My parents are both pure russian! so I gave the test y dna and I got the result and I have similar genes Norwegians rather than sweden!!! AND I STILL dont KNOW WHY !!!!! I just know that my great-great-grandfather was Count in northern Russia !!!!

The rus viking tribe from Roslagen in Sweden founded the land of the rus wich later became Russia. They quikly became a minority though and eventually got mixed with slavic tribes.

Slavonic tribes Polyane,Severyane etc moved to North East and mixed with local finnic nations:Moksha,Mordva,Komi,Kar
jala,Permians etc.They assimilated them and slavonic language prevailed.Rus was a scandinavian nation which gave name to the Kiev Rus' and its nation. Genetically russians are mix between finnic and slavic newcomers.And only after that the russian nation was formed.
You should read some history,its basic and well known facts.

Original Russians should be only Slavic...
50% IS A MIXTURE, that means they are NOT original. The only Russians that are 50% Slavic, and 50% Finnish are the Ingrian Finns.
