In December 2009 at Varuna Foundation we had the chance to learn an old tradional Romanian technique. Bone adjustment techniques are not geographically restricted to certain areas of the globe. Each country has its own tradition more or less scientifically documented. Monasteries have been in Romania for hundreds of years places where traditional medicine was practiced with incredible results. There are few practioners in 2009 but we managed to trace down a few and asked them to teach us the old Romanian technique of bone adjustment as practiced in monasteries by trained and gifted monks and laymen. Our trainer is Viorel Butnaru the only lay practitioner of this technique in Romania who has been the apprentice and disciple of Father Elefterie a well known monastic figure who dedicated his life to healing suffering people. This video is about the first manipulations of the foot, kneecap and thighs.
