Chingonsísima! Linda se apropió tanto de la herencia musical paterna que su interpretación de ésta melodía es quizá la mejor de todas, incluidas muchas cantantes mexicanas.

Viva Linda! Sixty-two years old and still going strong.

Steve is a friend of our family. Great song.

Linda and Mariachi Cobre are natives of Tucson, AZ and are active in the annual Tucson International Mariachi Festival. If you're ever in the area, it's a great program which is teaching our youngsters the tradition and heritage of mariachi music.

@williamcrosthwaite Because she was. She can still sing but not that good. Also because I upload anything I see at concerts and stuff. I dont care much for mariachi cobre compared to other mariachis but I upload their videos. Other people will appreciate them. But I have respect for Linda. In her prime she was bad ass. And she is still active in the mariachi community so I respect her for that.

@Myke209 why upload her songs if you think shes not all that great?

@cakeboy1970 However to me she was better than people like Lila Downs who has done pretty much every genre from mexico and was partially raised in mexico. Linda and Eugenia Leon(also has done almost every mexican genre) were about the same but Eugenia's voice is still in top shape. She's a great interpreter. I like linda better than Vikki Carr. But the songs can be sung better. Linda does great in her DVD and her vocals are amazing but to me theres something missing from the way she sings them.
I think she dies OK.
Still think she was influenced by Lola Beltran!

Well her voice is different so she has to use her voice the way it sounds best but she does list Lola as one of her influences among other artists like Lucha Reyes and a few others that slip my mind. Linda's not the best interpreter for Mexican music but she does have(had expecially in the 80's) a great voice and helped publicize mexican music even more to the US. I wish she would do more regional stuff though. Rancheras and Huapangos are more for singing but the other stuff is good too.
