@teambrucewillis Because for Americans "world series" means the major competence, the best of the best. And it's true because there's no other league better than MLB in the world. Japan is close, but it's not the same level. Then, the team who wins the world series is supposed to be the "best professional baseball team in the world". The World series could be like the Soccer World Cup. The one who wins is considered the best.
