The carrier wave goes down into LFO range for tremolo effects. "Input B" can be used in place of the built-in carrier wave, or you can use a 50/50 mix of both.

  • can you take out that whole tremolo effect and just have the ring modulator?

  • Tremolo and Ring Mod are actually similar effects when using the internal LFO, even though they sound very different. Ring Mod occurs when you turn the Frequency knob up so the LFO is in the "audio range" (above 40Hz or so). The Frostwave Blue Ringer can absolutely do typical Ring Mod, and it sounds great! As good or better than the Moogerfooger Ring Mod. So you only get the tremolo effect when the Frequency knob is turned way down low.
