Pimp My Slingshot!

This episode presents a modified "pimped" version of the Saunders Hawk slingshot, one of the best mass produced slingshots on the market. A lower fork, stronger bands and most of all a completely new handle make a difference.

The speed of the shot s compared to the original bands by shooting over the chrony, 34 % more energy is the impressive result.

At the end of the video, the power is compared to a real strong custom made "Jörg Sprave" frame, by shooting against a coconut. The impact is shown in 1200 fps super slow motion, recorded with the Casio EX-F1 Pro camera.

Throughout all your video's I've seen you make alot of different types of slingshots and review them. Have you ever though of making different kinds of Slingshot ammo? Like explosive slingshot ammo or something.

@jamessp007 I use the Casio EX-F1 Pro for the slomos, it shoots 1200 frames per second. I really would like to have a professional grade super slomo cam, like the Mythbusters, but those are really expensive.

may i ask i found this slingshot and it was using surgical tubing as its rubber but it was old and broke now i have the the thing that holds on to the ammo leather thing but mine is plastic. do you think i can use bicycle tubing ?
