A small excerpt of Hump de Bump performed live at La Cigale, Paris, April 20th 2006 (FIRST PERFORMANCE EVER! It was not broadcasted on MCM)

Et voici un petit extrait de Hump de Bump pour le souvenir (le son est mauvais, mais l'image excellente)! Si quelqu'un sait comment redresser l'image, je suis preneur de tous vos conseils !

  • There's almost no zoom Defunkt125. As you may know it was a private performance, and so it happened in a small venue like La Cigale. I was there like two hours before the show and got a nice place in the crowd!

  • Alright... I meant, as some have understood it, that it was the first live version ever of THIS PARTICULAR SONG Hump de Bump.

Thanks to the others, i got all RHCP CD's for years and I know pretty good Out in LA etc.

  • I think it's the first live version ever of the song...

  • But he stopped using it after SA. I am saying that it sounds like crap and I am happy he went back to the Modulus.

  • How could you diss the fender? that some unique rare shit, made in 1961 it is worth 15 times a modulus! plus his contract with modulus run out this year, he won't be back with it, flea loves the jazz bass more than any other bass

  • I'm Sorry, but i got a DVD of this concert. (yay!) this song wasnt on the DVD.... whats up with that?

  • pourquoi MCM n'a pas diffusé l'intégralité du show ? bordel j'aimerai bien voir hump de bump, throw away your TV ou californication en pro-shot :(

merci en tout cas pour cette video ;)

  • L A is the best city in the WORLD

  • actually he used the fender for the early Stadium Arcadium tour... But then went back to Modulus because it had more punch. His contract with moudulus is over so now he started his own bass model called the Flea bass.

  • he uses D'addario Flatwounds on his jazz bass :P

  • he does love it, but he swiched to modulus for the second half of the tour, because the jazz bass' passive sound wasnt cutting through enough, i like fender more than modulus, but it did make a good diference :P

  • Yes I know he uses those with his modulus but I've heard he used flats on his jazz bass, it makes sense in some recordings but I don't know how does he sound that brighty either, I'd like to know the string gauge too

  • As far as I know he uses GHS boomers, but then again who knows. The tone from his fender sounds great in his recordings but for live play not so much. From what I understand he went back to using the modulus after a few shows.

  • Yeah you're right I just wonder what kind of strings does he use in that bass
