Hello to my Fellow Kodiaks!

I come to you today, to present a State of the Government address. I call it that, because the State of the Region address is a requirement of the President.

First I would like to say that the region is moving along fantastically. I think everyone can see the progress the Government is making. We've had some long strides in these past 2 weeks, and the benifits are already noticable.

However, as with most things, this will be difficult to maintain. We must be vigilant to keep things in this Direction. We must be ready.

We, as a region, have just come out of a dark period. I think we can all agree. The inactivity of the previous government was disasterous. I am in no way blaming Wopruthien, nor Wykked, because sometimes, NS must be put on hold for Real Life. However, the region has suffered non-the-less.

Now we are on the track toward reconstruction. With the new Ministry of Culture, I hope to again revive the old Kodiak Spirit. The region has been stagnating. The constant cycles of Yeecklack are becoming stale, and people are growing bored of the same things. For the region to continue, we must find our roots again. The pride we took in our system of Government. The community we built. The positive energy we spread.

As such, I ask that members really concentrate on contributing. I know we're a community, and I'm not asking everyone to abandon their reasons for being here, such as the talking with friends, or building on some laws. What I am asking, is that the idle conversations, be speckled with positive, some Kodiak related discussion. Not that everythign must be NS related, but just a minor adjustment of value. Maybe one extra topic on improvement, or criticism. Every little bit helps, and after all, we're here to have fun, in a great place. Not to fade away into idle conversation.

This is the most I can ask of you all. If I can have this, I will consider my term as Chancellor a success.

However, I would like to continue, to try to sell some of the government programs for volunteers. without these programs, we cannot grow.
First is the Ministry of Domestic Affairs.
I've sent 800 telegrams in 3 days for recruitment. Over these three days, I haven't seen any of our other recruiters numbers improve in any significant way.

With the new recruitment system, recruiting ten nations in a couple minutes is easy. And every little bit helps. Anyone willing to donate a couple minutes a day, or an hour or so a week, should contact our Minister of Domestic Affairs and have an account set up for the recruitment system. It would really help, and the more people sending recruitment telegrams, the less nations every individual person has to recruit.

In relation, I think everyone can agree we'd like new people on the forum. It's obvious that even as much as we love eachother, some new blood would be nice. And it helps keep tensions low. Not to mention, brings new ideas and outlooks into the region. Just look at Citizen dalaborn. He's already made some very noticable additions to the region. Think if we could recruit two or three more people to the forum like him.

And while I'm selling the ministries, we can always use more ambassadors for the Foreign Ministry. It only takes about 5 minutes a month to send an update to a region, and it really keeps our name out there. Those with more ambition can work on alliances and treaties with our friends, or even make new friends in these regions. Like I said, just a little bit helps, and the more help we get, the easier it is on everyone.

The military can always use more soldiers, but I'm not going to press that issue.

What it comes down to, for Kodiak, is that everyone just pulls a little bit more. Just gives that one extra effort. We want a region where people are welcome, where the atmosphere is bright, and where everyone has a place. In this world of cutthroat politics, espionage, and intrigue, I want Kodiak to be the region who surpasses all the trivial frivilties.

We can do it. We have done it, we can do it again. With work from citizens like you, we have every potential to be the example for this game. We need it now, more than ever.
