Senate Iraq Resolutions

The Senate is debating two resolutions on Iraq this week. Senator Obama discusses his support for the Levin amendment.

"Despite the fact that there have been some differences within the Democratic party, there is unity at this point that we need to bring our troops home as quickly as possible and that the Bush administration's simple-minded refrains of "we know best" and "stay the course" are simply not acceptable. It's not acceptable to conduct a war where our goals and strategies drift aimlessly regardless of the cost in lives or dollars spent. And that is where the Democrats are absolutely unified. That the Administration has not only poorly conceived this war but also poorly managed this war."

The millatary needs to train 1,000,000 troops of the Iraq people. And bring them and thier familys to a safe area for training. So when they go back. They are ready to take over their country. As long as they have the proper stuff to do the job. And we can leave in 24hours. Oh train 1 & that 1 masters the training and trains 10 and so on. The more people you train. Higher the number. This guys doesn't want out of the war! He says so right here. He wants to stay until Iraq is "stable". That is BS. They will never be stable while we are there. He already said he wants to INCREASE troops by 92,000! How is that "phasing out"??? And where are these 92,000 troops going to come from, obama? Everyone here want out of the war? Vote Ron Paul. He's the ONLY one that has said from the beginning that we need to leave NOW!
