there are so many other ways to live on this beautiful planet which is not your own to exploit... earth and it's habbitats have come in equality ..what and who gave us or is you and me the right to even think you and i are superior to any other species...when scientists are finally coming out with the truth that we do not need meat of any kind in order to survive..we are such sad creatures,and stupid at that....JAPAN WAKE UP..AS WE ALL SHOULD...WE ARE NOT SUSTAINING OURSELVES ANY MORE.

@freeburgfreak It is a natural question although your idea is simple. The sense of values of the country of Japan and yours has a difference. However, I think, it is important to understand and accept a mutual difference. Blame of the eating habits of a foreign country is a mistake.

It is for living. It is only one reason for the murder which God was allowed. In order to live, it kills reluctantly. For the reason, Japanese people pray "Itadakimasu" at the time of a meal.
It is the pity to the killed living thing, an apology, and gratitude to God.

Secondly, you keep bouncing off the saying, "all life is precious," but then go on to say killing whales is right and just, but you should care about pigs and cows more. If you really thought all life was precious, you'd stop killing it, not just trying to switch the subject to another life. Idiots.

This video isn't very persuasive - whoever made it, don't give up your day job. You use over half the video talking about whales, when the title clearly states you intended on speaking about the movie The Cove which is about the slaughter of dolphins, not whales. This is a very interesting point, because dolphins are not protected under the IWC act, yet you spend a hell of a lot of time on the subject of who is allowed to hunt what.

@TheTopBollox We're very inhumane in north america as well, wanna know how that bacon is so delicious, they'll lay a pig on it's side for 6 months in a cage where it can't move an inch, then they flip it over to the other side for 6 more, gets the meat nice and tender. these pigs experience a miserable existence so you can have your bacon, and pigs are the 4th smartest creature on the planet. the entire human race is inhumane when it comes to animals, watch the doc "meet your meat"

I'm a part Japanese and I am embarrassed of the Japanese people's doing. Endangered or not, it is not about it. It is about how they kill it.
