Would have been nice if you warned about the audio jack breaking off when removing the board. It's only held on by a small arm of the board and the audio jack is glued down. Unfortunately the audio jack ribbon cable pulled out of the jack about the same time the board broke. I don't see anyway to salvage this do you.
I got it back together and the home button works now but now I have no audio. Anyone have a spare board with audio jack attached?

hey that black cable from the battery came off nd idk the display wont ecen show when it turns on . .the ipod still works ived hooked it up to a stereo nd it still works but the display wnt even turn on idk if it has to do with the black cable that came off and i know i didnt damage anything so can u plz reply nd tell me wat 2 do id really appreciate it

i am replacing the audio jack on a 1st gen ipod touch, do you have to go all the way to 2:30 to replace it?

hey what if the screw on the top left of the ipod is stuffed up... like you can't twist it cos the carvings are messed up.... how can i still open it ?? thanxx in advance... :)
