  • camscape what are your upgrades to get this kind of hp gains if u don;t mind...

  • @shockj2000 I don't really have that much done, just intake, exhaust, reflashed eprom, got a non-egr intake, and thats basically it I guess...

  • Bone stock 6.6 LBZ or LMM Dmax does between 270-280 at the wheels. Not bad #'s for a old 6.5 IDI though I guess.

  • and your Dmax comment is here Why?

  • That is pretty respectable, I am pretty sure I might put 1/2 of the flywheel hp. 220 something, at the wheels? I am VERY impressed, nice.

  • Thanks

  • wanna be truthfully different put a detriot diesel 2 stroke in it

  • oh im building basically for towing in an obs 2wd dually lol im hoping im assuming correct I read on another video you have stock turbo running around 1 bar and pretty basic mods.... If your pump is pretty stock also if your tranny is pretty stock then these are really good #s... Im going to run atleast a highly modded pump, compound turbo setup and alot time porting the heads and intake and making custom tubing everywhere lol & alot of other details thanks to a very wise gramps it should be FUN

  • Clean truck, are you running the pump turned up at all? Also what kind of mileage do you see? Ive got an obs im thinking of swapping one of these motors except it will be pretty modified compared to most others. Nothing too insane but it will be a pretty hopped up 6.5 if I decide to use it? Its either this or the cummins, Id like to keep it gm and be different than everyone else swappin a cummins into everything lol.... Thanks tho, if it makes the mileage im hoping, also from your #s Im happy :)

  • @Camscape i guess he is comparing the old 6.5 IDI to the newer duramax

  • @KB3MMX

I have done this swap in my 67 GMC. I'm still working out the "bugs" but its surprisingly stong compared to the mild 350 that was in it before.
