  • hmmmm....what if u do insanity for a year? what will the results be?

  • @DavidMacgreggorUSMC Hey Dave, can you say, "BURN-OUT". I'm going to take a wild guess about the USMC and ask, "What if you did your Basic Training for a whole year?" While you probably COULD, why would you want to? What would be the real benefit, if any? I think of Insanity as a wicked KICK-START. But it would be one helleva grind to do that routine all the time. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you don't train HARD. But you definitely want to mix up your routine.

  • @russhamel Im only 16 u can check my facebook for proof &Im not in the Marine Corps yet im still going through some of the recruiting process and getting high school over with...its been a dream of mine to become a Marine but anyway I have been doing MC PT(Physical Training)and i have been losing weight and gaining mussel mass but it pondered me would I benefit? so its a 50/50% to see witch one is better for me(keep doing MC PT or do insanity till i get sent to boot camp?)

  • @DavidMacgreggorUSMC Awesome Dave, sounds like you've got a plan. Just saying a year is a LONG time for something as intense as Insanity. I think even Mr. 'Dig-Deeper' Shaun T. would agree, give it a break - mix it up with some cross training. You don't have to let up - but I think for your body-mind-spirit, you would benefit TREMENDOUSLY by mixing it up. All the best to you, my young friend! Live your dream!

  • that is awesome! you look great! congrats!

  • @aimesbson Flattery will get you EVERYWHERE! :) Thanks for your kind words. Hard to believe that it's almost a year since I did the Insanity Challenge. While I haven't done Insanity since - and more than likely will never do it again... too painful - I'm still keeping myself in great shape with other routines that are just as challenging while being kinder to my joints.

  • thats y ill keep the insane work

  • @luvmypeaceofmind Weight was never a very big issue. At 5'5", heavy for me is 155 lbs. I started out this Insanity program around 150 lbs and got down as low as 142 during the nine weeks. I could have lost a LOT more weight had I stuck to the suggested diet plan... but I was RAVENOUS and a bit undisciplined in my eating habits.

Today - 5 months after I completed Insanity, my weight is 148 and I'm maintaining that 33" waist - would like to whittle it down to 32". Eating is still the key!

  • how much weight did you lose?
