Every year more than 1.3 billion pigs are slaughtered for meat worldwide. Compassion in World Farming has campaigned for years to ensure higher welfare standards for these animals. As a result of our work, animals are legally recognised as Sentient Beings in the EU and sow stalls in the UK are banned. Despite these achievements we still have so much more to do to protect the welfare of all pigs in all parts of the farming systems. So true....

I try to only eat meat from more humane farmers , but tbh , its so expensive , and I eat it so rarely ( like one or twice a year), I'm thinking of becoming totally vegetarian or vegan....

Do we , as adults ,really need animal protean that much anyway ?
