That "dirty little towelhead proxy war" was incredibly effective at costing the Soviets lots of money, resources, lives, and public humiliation. To attempt to write it off as some unimportant sideshow is foolish. The US used many tactics in combatting the Soviet menace, some easier than others to manage. And again, you assert ulterior motives with no support.

ronald reagan was a communist before cold war started after the end of the second world war. He was a democrat until he changed his politicial view in the late 1950s.

Those whose aim it is to control you have made you believe their puppet is your greatest leader. History will show they used Reagan to plant the seeds for our current debt crisis, the banking debacle, the loss of independent media, the conversion of US democracy to fascism and the elimination of the middle class.
