To see a 8' tall plume of raw sewage backing out of the waste treatment plant directly into Peachtree Creek, go to timemarker 8:29.
That is 100% untreated sewage going into the Hooch a few hundred yards downstream... after 6 years and at least 4 or 5 BILLION dollars in ATL taxes have been spent to stop this. Sure it was a flood, but the engineering is supposed to have taken 100 yr flood into account. End of story.

Flash floods and large floods, such as the Atlanta Flood in September 2009, deposit toxins and bacteria along with fertile flood alluvia onto the bottom lands along the creeks' paths, where most City of Atlanta Parks are located.
