Uncle Bruce Surfs Normandy, NJ

In 1968, there was only one place you'd find Bruce Berthelsen, at the Jersey Shore. In this rarely seen and historic footage, we find Bruce and his ragtag gang of beach bums shredding the tasty waves at Normandy Beach, New Jersey in the fall of 1968. The boards, shorts and bangs were all long; however, the wave riding was a work in progress.

Thanks for posting this. It brings back a lot of memories. I used to live in between 3rd and 4th Ave. I was a little kid back then and these older kids inspired me to learn to surf.
