a true, overlooked gem in the now stagnant melodic death metal genre.

@vincentjurg I`ve been giving some thought about this man.The reasons are many.Melodeath had an ill fate from the beginning.Deriving from the brutal and pure death genre is considered by many a blasphemy to it`s ancestor. The motivation or explanation for this I do not know and I really don`t give a fuck about it.Lots of them consider Melodeath to be some kind of childish gay shit compared to the the what they see as true death metal...( Death, Cannibal Corpse,Morbid Angel...etc)..

@sldsaxkihc It really is. I'm really looking for old school melodeath nowadays. Kind of in the vein of The Gallery. This and Insomnium is the closest I've come to it. Nowadays it's just fucking gay. I'm sure Dark Tranquillity, In Flames and At The Gates never meant it to be like that. Old school Melodeath is just being forgotten. Sad.

great song indeed...it`s hard to find melodeath like these this days and from these comments here I can see that I`m not the only one thinking that this genre is going down the drain.

ugh! i forgot all about this song!! these guys were so amazing. i think this is one of the moodiest songs ever written. i used to crank this on a summer night, driving with the top down in my alfa spider. :)

i prefer metal where it is...in the shade of the music business because popularity comes with commercialization of the band...but in this case i just wish record labels would be more open minded these days, this band really deserved the attention of the metal media, a shame that they have split up

I wish Melodic death metal was still like this.

@jk47hm4 Yeah, truly emotional melodeath (I'm referring to non-gay "emo" type emotionalism, of course) is more or less dead.
