I put this same video up for less than one full day last weekend but decided it needed tweaking, so here is the final version. I'm sure everyone knows this piece, although you may never have heard it performed quite in this way. I just asked myself, "Hmm...what would Merle do?"
Sorry I just used the pickups in my Taylor 314CE guitar instead of a mic, but it was more convenient because of outside noise around my home lately. One day I'd like to make a really good studio quality recording of this tune. The guitar is in standard tuning but down a half step (as usual for me). And before you ask, no I don't have any tabs available. I never write anything down.
To an insistent reporter who once asked Einstein's opinion of Bach, he said the following: "This is what I have to say about Bach's life work: listen, play, love, revere--and keep your mouth shut."
JS Bach outlived his first wife and remarried the year following her death to a woman seventeen years younger than him. Between his two wives he fathered twenty children causing many to joke that, "His organ has no stops!"
grate!

Thanks to Bernd I found this vid
This is quite a performance, I really like your version, it got a lot more freedom in it :d if I make any sense at all. And holy, you got the same guitar as I do, it's a great guitar isn't it

Hi ??,
a beautiful variation on Bach's famous tune. I enjoyed your video as well as each single tone in it. Really a nice approach to this piece asking " .... what would Merle do ? ... ".
5 stars for this work! Well done sir!

Best rendition of this I've ever heard on any instrument. And that ending was amazing!
