Back in The mid '80's thru mid '90's, I lived in Kansas City and was a HUGE Bo Jackson fan. I used to tape everything I could that was aired about him on my old VCR. I'm not sure why, but I've saved these tapes for the last 25 years (Damn, has it really been that long!?!). I recently cleaned out a storage shed and found boxes and boxes of old video tapes and over the next several months, I will upload some of the "Bo" footage here.
Thanks for all of the great memories Bo....you truly were a one man highlight reel. For me, both the Kansas City Royals and Major League Baseball have been boring ever since he left the game.

This Show originally aired in 1989 and Bo talks about the media's reaction to his deciding to play both Major League Baseball and professional football.

  • I had always heard that Bo Jackson had a bad stutter and was a very nervous speaker when he first began attending Auburn, but he worked on it and got it to the point you see here.

  • god bless bo and his children,i pray for his best and family

  • Thank you so much for posting this video clip ..... Nobody has ever done it like Bo !!! ..... Bo could hit 500 foot home runs and also have 90 yard touchdown runs from scrimmage all in the same year .... Bo is truly the worlds most gifted all around sports player of all time !!!

  • ha ha ha the sanders guy from flordia state

  • He doesn't have a speech impediment... He's just southern. A lot of black people from rural alabama talk like him. I live in rural alabama so I know.

  • i notice that bo seems to have some sort of speech impediment too. never noticed this before. but haven't seen much speaking footage of him before either.

  • bo has...INTERESTING mannerisms. he almost seems a bit nervous or uncomfortable here. he also seems a little irritated...perhaps about the stresses that comes with all the fame. the way he talks is kinda funny though (in a good way). lol.
