What if you have not really paid any attention to diablo 1 or 2's history, but you are really burning to play diablo 3, and it is first now you feel like becoming a fan. Then you might now have a good chance, if the contest is something only a hardcore diablo player can answer to.
I think the contest should be something everyone can participate in, but they still have to do an effort somehow. So they cannot just write some random comment.
I don't know what it should be, cuz' I am not creative :(
I'd like to say something meaningful. Like, instead of a random person selected, maybe someone with the best answer, or the most meaningful answer to you yourself. Just a suggestion. Thanks!
You should hide clues all around you twitter and youtube accounts- what the clues mean and where to look noone knows- the first to find the answer / (what ever one may find ) wins- That's prob what i would do :)

You might want to just give 'em away quick, since Blizzard is offering up beta keys weekly.

You can't actually go with any crazy ideas.
People need to have a fair game overall.
A comment + random.org would do it just fine.
Or how Force did it, pick someone from Twitter followers.

The most important thing, IMO, is that you make it Diablo related- It's a diablo contest for a diablo key -
