  • This was great ! I'm doing family research on the surname Walicki (Waliccy) h. Lada. I believe from my research that Janusz of Mazowsze who is the h. Lada is the builder of this castle. I also believe this same Janusz I is an ancestor in the Walicki h. Lada line. This was great to see ! Thanks.

  • usa, 1776 :)

I'll send an addy in your messages

  • What declaration of indepedence?

  • one of those guys from Finland I believe, surname here Morton, signed the declaration of independence so nice for his descendants :)

  • It's located on the river Wisła (Vistula) just south of Warsaw, Poland.

  • btw, Nice video! Mikolajoskierko, We have some castles in Sweden which looks pretty much like these one. But smaller.

  • Thats nice ^^ I also have a ancestor who fought in that Invasion. I have quite many ancestors who fought in the Old wars ^^

Your a Finn-American? This might be a longshot, But are you from that Swedish Colony in New delawere? The Swedes mostly sent up Swedish criminals and Finnish peasents there.

  • :) maybe I had a relative amongst them, one never knows :)

  • Gustav II Adolf had great Use of them, In the 30 years war the enemy Armies where very slow moving and werent that good in manouvering, The Hakkapalitas could smash in to them time after time until they got unorganised and then the Infantrymen put in the death blow. But after the 30 years war the enemies got more advanced in warfare and the "hakkapalitas" lost their last regiment only some years after the 30 years war.

  • the Finns were the slash and attack kind of cavalry and I've read they were pretty well regarded.
