I think Mravinsky gets the recapitulation of the romantic subject, with that gloriously powerful brass, just about perfect. He is careful with the climaxes there, I think. I had not listened to Mravinsky's Tchaikovsky in years, and am so very impressed returning to it. Thank you for posting.
