Just as classical musicians aspire to perform one day at New York's Carnegie Hall, country and bluegrass musicians dream of playing at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. Thirteen-year-old Gaven Largent will be doing just that next month. VOA's Susan Logue caught up with him at his home in Winchester, Virginia, and prepared this profile.
This is not A Kid. This is a Grown Man in a young boys body. Just cant wait to get one of his cds. His Touch and the Dobro is so Warm and Fluid. There are Hope For The Future

OMG! It was Col. Sanders! Jk! You play well, young man. Keep learning. When you are finished learning, you ARE finished. Get an education too! :-) -wink- I thought I smelled Chicken.

@TheDrMusician you're never too late to learn. Gaven obviously has a natural talent but you can achieve a lot with practice and support. I'm similar to Gaven in that I pick instruments up easily but I also play a LOT. If you practice diligently an hour a day you'll get good quickly - learning to improvise is more of a challenge but can also be taught :) Keep it up!
