I remember about the mid 90s I was tuned in to yobo station 4mmmFM in Brisbane one morning and they (the announcers) decided to make fun of what they thought was the 'worst' songs of the 70s and put this song on. making jokes and stupid (typical) yob comments...I of course worked at radio 4zzzFm at that time and decided to play it on my shift that week along with a bunch of other magnificent tracks...got a great response from listeners that night and one who condemed the 4mmm anouncers.

Crikey! I haven't heard this since it was in the charts. My sister had a little cassette tape recorder back then and she taped this from a friends record player. Quite a pleasant little tune.

Colin Berry occasionally played the opening as a jingle on his early morning BBC Radio 2 show in the mid 70s. So catchy and heartwarming! Brings back memories of first love ...
