[2] New Super Mario Bros World Record 100% Speed Run in 2:26:20 (Part 2 of 45)

This is the second segment of the World Record SDA run on New Super Mario Bros DS

This is what I said on Segment 2 of the run:

* Segment 2:

1-3: Nearly flawless by a few frames.

1-Tower (Normal): I didn't go up right away, since the human error is too small. So instead I got another Fire flower for reserve which i will use at 1 Castle. I then got Coin A quick enough that I got up the block staircase before the set retracted.

The Red ? Block is one space away from 1-Tower which is pretty important for segment 4.

It's really annoying that you've broken this speedrun into 45 parts. Would have been really nice to keep your segments as close to 10 minutes as possible :(

I'm sorry about that. This run was originally going to have 10 less segments (~roughly 35 segments) but I found out that getting the Blue Shell/Mini Mushroom from the Red ? Box & Hammer Bro is way faster than getting it from the Red Mushroom House. Unfortunately it does pretty much requires extra saves to manipulate the item you want to get (during the next segment).

Star Fox Adventures any% by UcPro has segments that lasts for less than 5 seconds, no joke ;)

Did you know that you could use Mario to quickly bring down Baby Bowser by when jumping on him immediately jumping on him again? (Warning: this method will not work with Mini Mario!)

@anglim45 Yes I do know that trick, I find that too hard to master consistently, especially at the end of each segment.

Btw, it's Bowser Jnr not Baby Bowser.

Never knew about that and that is a 'kick ass' awesome trick.

@Greenalink There's a trick with the spinny spring thing. When you go onto it running, jump off of it without pressing forward, for some reason it keeps the speed of the running, so you go faster.

Wrong, you do need to play that stage twice because on that stage it has 2 seperate exits, required for a 100% run. You'll see Luigi picking up Star Coin B on that stage (and the hidden exit) during the next segment.
