This video demonstrates the conversion of a block of alpha sheet (proposed toxic intermediate to amyloid formation) to a block of beta sheet (major component of mature amyloid) through alternate peptide plane flipping of the strands of alpha sheet. It was made in Bioinformatics Research Center of University of Glasgow by Mr. Alinda Chandra Mondal under the supervision of Prof. James Milner-White.
can you please elaborate or post any videos on slowing down the progress of these amyloid plaque formations? far as i can think, not all the chemicals are in good production in the brains of 65+ ladies, its like some centers are less used than most others and in laymen terms - amyloid plaques are more of the rust that develops with age and lack of wear and tear. please, not all answers have to be so difficult, sometimes it may be staring us right in the face, lets take an out of the box perspect
