Part of the Sega Arcade Gallery collection. Not a perfect port but very playable.

  • Not a bad port considering the hardware!

  • @BalancedSpirit79 The GBA is more powerful than the original arcade

  • @SagatsPetTiger Have you actually seen this on REAL hardware rather than a jerky pixellated video? Clearly you haven't.

  • @ojideagu Than why does it look and sound like shit compared to the arcade, go play the saturn version to see a real port.

  • Also, if anyone is wondering, the graphics looked a bit washed out so they can be easy to see on the original GBA. (which does NOT have a back-lit LCD screen)

All I know is, Altered Beast was (and still is) absolute garbage on the Genesis. That's probably why Sega later decided to bundle the system with Sonic The Hedgehog instead.

  • I got Sega Arcade Gallery on my Game Boy.

  • The one problem I have with it is the timer and the dithering of the sprites. Other than that, the enemy fire rotates smoothly and without frame pauses, the graphics are clear and bright, and the music sounds almost identical to Arcade version

  • You're doing GREAT! Get Ready!

  • I saw this in a shop for £4

    :)
