FANTASTIC!!! I have been a ragtime/Honky-Tonk piano player for 45 years of my life, and I am trying to pick up my lower jaw! Sincerely, Allen Dale. P.S. be sure to check my channel out on you tube.

@KawhackitaRag Yea I notice he is accurate too. It's never sloppy even though he shows great speed.

Wow!!

I just have one question....
How much caffeine does Adam Swanson typically consume in a day?
Hahaha, joking aside, it's funny to think that maybe these rags started to speed up around the same time they introduced soda fountains in the drug stores. Yeah??
Anyways, Adam blows me away. Where the heck does this talent come from!!??

@tdub1941 Nice to hear. I'm no expert but I think he plays with such ease. Spitznagel is another guy I really like too. But check out Sportiello and Mazetier they are good too.
Absolutely....Brilliant!
Did Adam reveal the name of the tune at the end or did he make that up on the spot and name it after? I know the former sounds more likely, but the latter is possible.
Also, how old is he?
I'd love my clarinet playing or singing to be as good as that.

@Sapphire848
Adam is now 18 years old.
I think the title is actually the title of a previously written song - I found it on Wikipedia just now - - -Charles Hunter (ragtime composer) ... Absorbing the folk strains of Nashville, he published his first rag, "Tickled to Death," in 1899, which became a hit.

tdub. You watch around all these festivals I assume. Do you consider Swanson to be one the biggest talents today. He sure is young and already plays like pro. Could he be like a young Wellstood or Hyman. Or are they well ahead of him.

His destiny as a piano playing great shall be noted as time marched by.
