On April 10, 2008, the Norfok Lake surpassed flood stage of 580 feet and the Corps of Engineers opened all 12 flood gates for the first time in the dam's history. At the time of this video the output was 77000cf/s; the equivalent of running 18-20 generators at full power. In the first two minutes (or so) of video we were crawling through traffic and the wind noise isn't so bad.
Awesome t'weren't it?
I got some shots of it today.
