no need to use two fingers. i use one finger and pull down towards the ground, and with a pick. way easier and exactly the same

I know it's easier with a flattened finger but tonally it sounds better with two fingers. Unless you can grab both strings with one pad of your third finger then tonally it's the similar.

playing 2 strings can be done with a pick. you can use your ring and pinky fingers.
