Interviewer: What did you use the loan for?

    Aigul: For this cow.

    Interviewer: Just one?

Aigul: Yes. Where could I have got another 15,000 soms (USD 350)?

Interviewer: What do you think? Did the loan help?

Aigul: If God wills, there wont be any problems when she calves, and

well have a good calf. Well have milk to sell. 700 or 800 som a

week (USD 16-18). It covers the costs.

  • From my investor email:

Aigul used her loan to buy a cow. She wants to have more animals to

increase her livestock trade, after her son suggested that she spend

more time at home. She wants to make herself self-sufficient enough to

leave her job as a laborer after 17 years.
