A special Random Acts of Kindness quick video of the 50 In 52 Journey interview of Sharlane King. Though born in Washington state in the northwestern most city in the continental US, Sharlane has used her passion for learning about other cultures to fuel learning about her own. Her desire to come back and help her people by getting a degree in rural development and then making a difference for her family and her people is yet another example of today's youth realizing the important of heritage, of a people, and of their responsibility to help carry their history forward. Like the other people the Journey has interviewed at the Center, these young people have a respect for their history. They understand that the native people's history goes back to the country's history and they are committed to doing their part to move their communities, their state, the country, and their people forward.
