The depressing thing is that I know that the guy rolling with Braulio would run rings around me if we rolled!

i was sparring with a purple, i manage to get to side control but i cant really maintain the position. look at people like braulio, he just keep it with ease.

@WhtMike2006 Not that often sadly, I don't train at his main academy (200 miles away) so just at seminars really.
He uses head & arm control a lot to pass gi and nogi.

@RobJT The reason I asked about the Darce/Brabo is because I can tell he has an affinity for arm triangles and I was wondering if he uses the Darce a lot, or just the regular arm triangle.

@RobJT Do you get to roll with Braulio regularly? How much nogi do you guys do? Does Braulio teach the Darce/Brabo choke? Sorry for the 21 questions.

Braulio has the best Gi instructional, I've never learned so much from a DVD, ust do not tell him I downloaded it. Seriously you were very lucky to roll with him. That strangle at 1:10 is old school and great.

@BigolePappy2 That gym was a decent size, just lots of people training. We're in a new place now though, which is twice the size :-) We had 70 people at a recent seminar and all could train (drilling not rolling) at the same time.
